Privacy Policy
PixBoost Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PixBoost - AI Photo Enhancer handles photos, face-related image content, edit settings, AI processing requests, subscriptions, diagnostics, and support communications.
Important AI Processing Notice
Some PixBoost features require AI processing outside your device. Before PixBoost transmits a photo for AI processing, the app presents an in-app notice that explains what will be sent, who it will be sent to, and why. PixBoost sends the selected photo only after you give permission by choosing to continue with the AI processing request.
When you use an AI-powered feature, the photo you selected, related edit inputs such as masks or adjustment settings, and technical request information may be transmitted through PixBoost server infrastructure hosted by Cloudflare and then sent to OpenAI, L.L.C. for the sole purpose of generating the requested image result. PixBoost does not collect, save, or store copies of your transmitted photos on its own servers, in a user photo database, or in a photo history.
You can decline the AI processing notice. If you decline, PixBoost will not send that photo for third-party AI processing, although the AI feature may not be available for that image.

- To troubleshoot errors, improve app reliability, and maintain service performance.
- To respond to support requests and user inquiries.
- To comply with applicable laws, platform rules, and enforce our terms and policies.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos for targeted advertising. We do not use photos transmitted for AI processing to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
4. AI Photo Processing and Explicit Permission
What is sent
For AI-powered features, PixBoost may transmit the following data only to complete your request: the photo you selected, any masks or edit parameters needed to perform the requested feature, feature type, request metadata, and technical information required to return the result. PixBoost does not save the transmitted photo or AI edit inputs to its own long-term storage.
Who receives it
The selected photo and related inputs may pass through PixBoost server infrastructure hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. and be sent to OpenAI, L.L.C. for AI image processing. PixBoost uses its server infrastructure as a processing relay and does not store user photos after the requested processing response is returned. If PixBoost adds or changes an AI processing provider, we will update this Privacy Policy and the in-app AI processing disclosure before using that provider for new processing requests.
How permission works
Before PixBoost sends a selected photo to a third-party AI provider, the app asks for your explicit permission through an in-app disclosure. You may cancel instead of continuing. If you cancel, the selected photo is not sent for that AI request.
Face Data and People in Photos
Photos selected by users may contain faces or people. PixBoost does not collect, store, retain, extract, or create biometric face data, face templates, facial recognition identifiers, facial geometry, face maps, or a face database.
Any face that appears in a selected photo is processed only as part of the image content needed to provide the AI photo editing result requested by the user. PixBoost does not use face data to identify users, verify identity, authenticate users, track users, build profiles, train advertising systems, or perform data mining.
If a user chooses an AI-powered feature and confirms the in-app processing notice, the selected photo may be transmitted through PixBoost server infrastructure hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. and sent to OpenAI, L.L.C. solely to generate the requested image result. PixBoost does not save or store photos or face-related image content on its own servers, in a user photo database, face database, or photo history after the processing request is completed.
Safety checks
AI processing may include automated safety, abuse-prevention, or policy checks. If a request appears unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or inconsistent with service rules, the request may be rejected.
5. Photo Library Permissions
PixBoost uses Apple's system photo picker where possible so you can select specific photos without granting broad library access. If you choose to save an edited result to your photo library, PixBoost may request the iOS permission required to write the result. If you grant broader photo access, PixBoost uses that access only to support the features you choose to use.
You can manage photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Changing or removing photo permissions may limit features that require importing or saving images.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
We share information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve PixBoost, or as required by law. The main service providers used by PixBoost are:
| Provider | Information shared | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Subscription, purchase, refund, app distribution, and App Store information handled through Apple's systems. | App distribution, StoreKit purchases, subscription management, refunds, and App Store services. |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | AI processing requests, selected photos and edit inputs only as needed to relay processing requests to OpenAI, IP addresses and technical logs generated by server requests. | Serverless request routing, security, abuse prevention, observability, and delivery of AI processing requests. PixBoost does not store user photos on Cloudflare as a photo database or photo history. |
| OpenAI, L.L.C. | Selected photos and related edit inputs needed for AI image processing. | Generating the AI image result requested by the user. |
| Analytics or crash reporting providers, if enabled | Crash reports, performance data, feature events, and diagnostic information. | App stability, reliability, diagnostics, and product improvement. |
| Legal, safety, and compliance recipients | Information necessary to comply with law, protect rights, prevent abuse, or respond to valid legal requests. | Legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, enforcement, and protection of users and services. |
We require service providers to handle information only as needed to provide services to PixBoost, protect their systems, comply with law, and apply privacy and security protections appropriate to the information they process.
7. Retention and Deletion
| Data | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Photos and AI edit inputs transmitted for processing | PixBoost does not collect or store these photos or AI edit inputs as user content. They are transmitted only as needed to complete the requested OpenAI processing request and return the result to the app. |
| Generated AI results | Returned to the app for you to view or save. PixBoost does not keep a server-side gallery, account history, or persistent copy of generated image results. |
| Server, security, and diagnostic logs | Generally retained for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is needed to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, service reliability issues, or legal obligations. |
| Subscription and purchase records | Retained for as long as needed to provide subscription access, handle refunds, comply with legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. |
| Support communications | Retained while the support request is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can respond, maintain records, and improve support quality, unless you request deletion and we are able to delete it. |
Edited images saved to your device or photo library remain under your control. You can delete those local files at any time from your device.
OpenAI and other infrastructure providers may process limited request or security information according to their own terms, policies, and legal obligations. We do not authorize service providers to use your photos for targeted advertising.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. You can also make the following choices:

9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by PixBoost. These safeguards may include HTTPS transport, access controls, server-side authentication, subscription verification, monitoring for abuse, and limited retention of temporary processing data.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security issue affecting your information, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law and platform rules.
10. International Processing
PixBoost and its service providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live, including the United States and other locations where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect information transferred internationally.
11. Children's Privacy
PixBoost is not intended for children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our app, service providers, technology, legal requirements, or business practices. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app or through other appropriate means.
